Welcome to the MsgPilot Template Guide

This template is designed to help you import contacts easily and build dynamic SMS and Email messages in MsgPilot.

How to use the template

1. Download the Template

On Windows (Computer):
If you open the website from a computer browser, click Download and start using the file directly from your download folder.

On Phone:
Tap the Share icon next to the template file, then share it to your computer, laptop, or any device where you can edit Excel files.

2. Open and edit on your computer

Open the file using Microsoft Excel or any compatible spreadsheet app.

The first three columns are fixed and required:
Name
Email
Phone Number
These columns represent the contacts you will send messages to.

3. Using additional columns (dynamic data)

The remaining columns are optional.
If you don't need a column, leave it empty.

To use a column:
First, enter a subject name in the blue header cell (for example: StudentName, Fees, Salary, Installment, PurchasedItems, etc.).
Then, fill the cells below with the related data for each contact (row).

4. Fill data row by row

Each row represents one contact.
Make sure the data in each column matches the subject name you entered in the header.

5. Save the file

Save the file with any name you prefer.
Keep it as XLSX or save a copy as CSV if needed.

6. Copy the file to your phone

Move the file to your phone using one of these methods:
• USB cable or USB stick
• Google Drive (recommended)
• Any cloud storage linked to your phone account

7. Import into MsgPilot

When sending SMS, Email, or Both, choose Import File.
Select your XLSX or CSV file from the saved location.
MsgPilot will automatically read the data and use it in your dynamic message.

Notes

• This template is an Excel (XLSX) file and should be edited on a computer or laptop.
• MsgPilot supports both XLSX and CSV formats.
• To use CSV: Open the file in Excel → Choose Save As CSV.
• If you edit the template on your phone, please save it in your Documents or Downloads folder, then use the same file when you import during Send (SMS, Email, or Both).
• The easiest and safest way to move files is Google Drive, then import directly from Drive inside MsgPilot.
